Machida City, Tokyo: "Let's Tell People About Our Favorite Books ！ One Word POP Contest 2024" ！.

Machida City Library will hold "Let's Tell People About Your Favorite Books ！ One Word POP Contest 2024" from November 15 （ Friday ） for people from 4th grade to 18 years old, with the aim of helping them enjoy reading and become familiar with books. We will ask you to submit your "recommended book" as a POP （ card ） to introduce your recommended book at bookstores, etc. Last year, we received 324 entries. Last year, 324 entries were received. The winning entries will be made into bookmarks and distributed at libraries and bookstores in the city.

Implementation

Select a book you want to recommend to others and create a POP and submit it to the city library or civic literature center.

Then, after a first screening by library staff and a second screening by library visitors, booksellers, people engaged in reading activities, etc., one Grand Prize winner, two Excellence Award winners, one Library Council Award winner, and one Library Director's Special Award winner are awarded.

Resident of Machida City ・ Resident or Mutual Use City （ * ） Fourth grade elementary school student living in ～ 18 years old
